Alesia de la Parra
Alesia de la Parra (born March 25, 2004) is an emerging Mexican independent filmmaker of fluid gender. They seek an alternative and extravagant approach to cinema through a Queer, dissident, and personal lens. A co-founder of the independent production company ERRO FILMS, their work is marked by symbolism, dreams, and the strange and eccentric.
Their art extends across various mediums, including painting, watercolor, animation, writing, and illustration, among others. Driven by a discourse on diversity and equity, they find in the surreal and enigmatic a way to express the inexpressible. Utilizing multiple media and formats, their stories range from the complex to the simple, all with an aura of unreality that challenges the rules of cinematography.
