Joey Jacobson
Joseph Samuel Jacobson (born July 16, 2004), known professionally as Joey Jacobson, is an American director, writer, cinematographer, and editor. Born in Stamford, Connecticut, Jacobson developed a passion for filmmaking from a young age and is currently pursuing a degree in Film & Television at Drexel University in Philadelphia, PA. He is the founder of Jacobson Pictures, an independent production company focused on bold and thought-provoking storytelling.
Jacobson’s work is known for its layered narratives, surreal imagery, and explorations of identity and humanity. His films often weave emotional complexity with visual precision, creating cinematic experiences that reward careful attention and multiple viewings. While at Drexel, he wrote and directed the short films Waiting Room (2024) and In Passing (2025), both of which reflect his commitment to ambitious, concept-driven filmmaking.
