Mihai Botezatu is a Romanian, 19-year-old filmmaker from Bucharest. He grew interested in the stories from Communist Romania and, at 16, wrote the script for “The Birdcage”, a historical drama. He found support from his friends, former project colleagues and his school, thus being able to start production. Currently, he is living in the Netherlands, studying chemistry at the University of Groningen, while still writing and looking for the next project.
